REASI, Nov 25: Inter Division State Level Volleyball Tournament under the age group of U14, 17 and 19 commenced at Shrine Board’s Multipurpose Sports Complex, Katra.
The tournament is being organized by the Directorate General Youth Services and Sports J&K in collaboration with SMVDSB. 6 teams of both the divisions comprising of around 150 boys and girls are taking part in the tournament, which is being held in the synthetic flood light court of SMVD Sports Complex Katra.
On the occasion, Nirmal K Choudhary Chief Education Officer Reasi was the chief guest, who declared the tournament open.
Earlier, Sudesh Kumar District Youth Services and Sports Officer Reasi welcomed all participants and officials.
Chitar Lekha, Surbjeet Kour Zonal Physical Education Officers and large number of officials were present on the occasion.
In U-14 girls, Jammu Divisions beat Kashmir division by 3-1 sets (25-23, 15-25, 25-16 and 25-18), whereas in U-17 category, Jammu Division defeated Kashmir division by 3-2 sets (25-23, 22-25, 25-24, 23-25 and 25-20).
In U-14 boys, Kashmir divisions beat Jammu division by 3-2 sets (25-22, 18-25, 25-23, 17-25 and 25-20), whereas in U-17 category, Jammu Division defeated Kashmir Division by 3-2 sets.
The matches were officiated by Naresh Kumar, Avinesh Kumar, Vikrant Singh and assisted by Vikas Verma and Pawan Khajuria.
