JAMMU, Nov 25: Cueists exhibited their talent on the Day-1 of the Junior Snooker, which is being organized during the ongoing 26th J&K State Billiards and Snooker Championship at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
In the first match, Momin Maqbool defeated Nipun Gupta by straight 2-0 frames, whereas in the second match, Ashin Rashid beat Varun Sethi by 2-1 frames.
Arjun Singh outplayed Khatteb in the third match by 2-1 frames, whereas in the fourth match, Harish Sharma defeated Anmol Singh 2-0.
In the fifth match, Anan Choudhary defeated Himanshu Jaral by straight 2-0 frames, whereas Satvik Kerni outclassed Vansh Gupta by 2-1 frames in the sixth match.
Abhirath Gulati defeated Rishab Arora 2-1, Veer Singh outplayed Dushant Sethi by 2-1, Mohit Manhotra outclassed Sahil Bhat by 2-0, Umar-ul-Islam defeated Manav Pathania by 2-0, Stanzin Stobdan beat Shubam Dogra by 2-1, Vikrant defeated Sudhanshu by 2-0 and Momin Maqbool trounced Veer Singh by by 2-0 in their respective matches.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh Sharma, Marker, who has been appointed by J&K State Sports Council to conduct the championship.
The Championship is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA) under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
Official spokesman of JKBSA said that this year they received 43 entries in Junior Snooker, which is highest in this category. All the members of JKBSA worked hard for the betterment of the game in the State, he added.
He also informed that tomorrow is the last date for Senior Snooker entries.
