Rainbow of colours unfurl on stage as Shiksha Niketan School celebrates Golden Jubilee

JAMMU, Nov 27: Rainbow of colours unfurled on the stage on the concluding day today by Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar celebrated its Golden Jubilee at General Zorawar Singh auditorium, University of Jammu, here today.
On the concluding day, Dr Nirmal Singh, Speaker of J&K Legislative Assembly was the chief guest, while Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation presided over the function. Harinder Gupta, Vice President BJP J&K, Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, MLC BJP J&K and Vikram Randhawa MLC BJP J&K were guests of honour.
The programme commenced with the singing of National Anthem, followed by bouquet presentation by the Principal Rameshwar Mengi along with other Incharges of the school.
A pious Durga Vandana was presented by the students of High Wing which gave an auspicious start to all the programmes.
The school displayed a power packed performance, where a variety of entertainment brought out the essence of culture, fusion and royal heritage.
An enthralling welcome dance and toy dance were presented by the blooming buds of the Pre-Primary Wing and Primary Wing.
The spectators became spell bound and mesmerized by the performance of the students. Ballet Act was enacted by the students of Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar, which was based on the whole story of Shiksha Niketan from Cradle to Saddle i.e 1969 to 2018. While the spectators were enjoying the performance of the students of Ballet Act, during that time the new edition of Bagisha–The News Letter was released. Tribute to India and Good Bye dance was performed jointly by the students of Middle, Secondary and Higher Secondary Wing.
The 50th Annual Day was meticulously planned by the students and staff of the school showcased the activities to the parents and guests followed by the prize giving ceremony.
An Amount of Rs 2,30,000 was awarded in the form of cheques to the meritorious students who outshined in board exams and Rs 20,42,000 was awarded in the form of scholarship to the meritorious students of this session.
Rita Mengi, Trustee of RM Public School, Ravinder Kour, Principal of RM Public School, Kiran Gupta, Incharge of Shiksha Niketan, Gandhi Nagar, Nirmal Sharma, Secondary Incharge, Jeevan Nagar, Amit Gupta, Senior Secondary Incharge, Jeevan Nagar, Sushma Sharma, Incharge of Pushp Vatika, Jeevan Nagar and Ex-Teachers of Shiksha Niketan who had given the outstanding contribution for upgrading the school graced the occasion.
The function concluded with the presentation of mementoes as the token of love to the dignitaries by the Principal.
