Khalsa, Ajit Clubs outclass rivals; register berths in next stage

JAMMU, Nov 29: Khalsa Club Gole Gujaral and Ajit Club Gole Gujaral outclassed rivals in their respective matches and registered berth into the next stage of the ongoing 4th Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tournament, being organized by Kashmir Sikh Sangat under the aegis of Hockey J&K at KK Hakku stadium, here today.
In the first match, Khalsa Club defeated Hiranagar Club by 4-1.
From Khalsa Club, Gagandeep Singh scored 2 goals, while Gurpreet Singh and Harjot Singh netted one goal each, whereas for Hiranagar Club, Harish Singh was the lone goal scorer.
In the second match, Ajit Club registered win over Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar by 6-4 goals.
In the first match, the chief guest was KK Gandotra Retd Principal and guest of honour was Randip Singh, whereas in the second match, Shivdev Singh, Retd Principal was the chief guest and JB Singh Veteran Hockey player was the guest of honour. All the members of Kashmir Sikh Sangat were also present on the occasion.
The tournament is being organized under the supervision of TP Singh, Organizing Secretary, whereas GS Bakshi General Secretary Hockey J&K is the Co-ordinator of the tournament.
The officials for today’s matches were Karanjit Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Balmeet Singh, Hardeep Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Joginder Singh and Gurjeet Singh.
In tomorrow’s fixture, MBS Simbal Camp will clash with Young Khalsa Gole Gujaral.
