JAMMU, Dec 5: Dr SD Singh Jamwal, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu inaugurated the “6th Christmas T20 Cricket Championship” in the presence of Fr Kuriakose, Chairman Christian Sports Organization and other dignitaries, here today.
The slogan of the Championship is “Be Healthy- Don’t Do Drugs” and is being organized jointly under the banner of Christian Sports Organization Jammu, Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu, Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP lavished praise on the organisers for holding the event on festivals.
In the inaugural match KC Sports Club defeated Kashmir Cricket eleven by 7 wickets. Batting first Kashmir eleven scored 135 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target in 16.5 overs by losing 3 wickets thus won the match by 7 wickets. Pranav 41 runs, Abhinav 32 and Vishal 30 runs were the main scorers.
In another match Raja Warriors defeated Saffron Cricket Club by 29 runs.
