JAMMU, Dec 6: Sprawling Buds ICSE School and Apple Kids International Pre- School, Bantalab celebrated its Annual Day ‘’ESPERANZA” with great pomp and show at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex, University of Jammu, here this afternoon.
Major General, Sharad Kapur YSM SM (General officer commanding Headquarter 26 Infantry Division) was chief guest, while Parveen Kumar Sharma, Chairman (Citizen’s Cooperative Bank Ltd) and Reverent Fr. Mathew Thomas, Member, (DIOCESE of Jammu and Srinagar Education Society) were the guests of honour, who distributed prizes among the achievers in Academic, Sports and cultural activities held during the year.
The function started with lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, guests of honour and other dignitaries which were followed by welcome dance and Shiv stuti.
Then the little toddlers from Play group presented an eye catching Fashion Show in which they showcased the personalities of our Living Legends by wearing beautiful attires, which was followed by Yoga Aasans and martial art skills by the young students which thrilled the audience.
The function was based on the theme ‘’ ESPERANZA” in which students beautifully presented different cultural items with joy and enthusiasm.
It included performances ranging from devotion to patriotism, Unity in diversity and importance of girls in our society.
Earlier, Vice- Principal of the School presented welcome address.
It was followed by the presentation of annual report by the Director of the school, Arti Sharma.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest, Major General, Sharad Kapur appreciated the efforts of the school in providing quality education and moulding the kids into all round characters at this young age.
Prominent among others present in the function included special guests, Neeraj Anand, President, Chamber of Traders Federation and vice president, The Confederation of all India Traders (CAIT), Sanjay Mehra, chief coordinator, Apple Kids, J&K.
Sanjit Khajuria, Ex Deputy Director, Doordarshan, Ram Khajuria, Secretary, Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee, New Delhi, Subhash Bhagat, Ex Municipal Corporator and Dr Gopal Parthasarthi, General Secretary, Public Opinion Forum and Dr AN Pandita, Social Activist and President, Pandit Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust.
