Hyderabad, Dec 10: Amit Sharma, Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affiars, Jammu today held threadbare discussions with legendary cricketer and former Team India Captain Mohd Azharudin wherein both of them decided to initiate a non-political and youth centric NGO for orientation and rightful channelisation of their energies for positive outcomes. This rendezvous happened co-incidentally with Amit during interaction held with Azharudin, while undergoing Election-related duties at Hyderabad.
Mohd Azharudin who has been known to be a role model to many youth till date and who is an active contributor for social causes, expressed his personal wish to work for bringing delineated youth of J&K on the pathway of peace, prosperity and progress and he planned this unique and novel initiative with Amit Sharma, who is a senior bureaucrat of Government of Jammu and Kashmir and has been constantly contributing for youth motivation in the State.
It has been decided that this NGO in which Mohd Azharudin will do the primary Mentoring Role shall be purely of non-political nature and only a social and youth-oriented initiative which shall use technology and widespread travel and drives to all booms and corners of the State wherein youth can be met and guided for getting involved in positive activities for betterment and welfare of the State and nation.
It is worthwhile to mention here that Amit Sharma has already taken several similar initiatives in the past wherein he had brought lesser-known tough Sub-Division of Dudu Basantgarh into limelight and taken it to new heights by making it first e-Sub Division and creating maiden website of this Sub-Division last in J&K which ultimately went on to win an Internationally-Acclaimed award. The youth of this area also got a great impetus because of lot of youth-oriented programs held from 2009-2011 till Amit Sharma was leading this Sub-Division.
There has been overwhelming response from youth of State towards great idea of coming-up of this NGO initiative being taken and the public is looking forward to get actively associated with it as soon as it comes up in J&K. They have complimented both the co-founders especially Mohd Azharudin who has showed lot of keenness and affirmative attitude for making it a reality soon.
