JAMMU, Dec 19: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Dr S D Singh Jamwal along with DIG JKS Range Vivek Gupta flagged off a group of students of District Jammu for Bharat Darshan tour.
The tour has been organized by District Police Jammu (Rural) under Civic Action Programme (CAP).
The group of 50 students including 15 girls and 35 boys selected from the migrant colonies of Jagti and TRT of District Jammu are participating in the tour under the supervision of SP Rural Jammu Dushyant Sharma.
On the occasion, IGP Jammu while interacting with the touring students advised them to avail the opportunity by taking best out of this tour as they will be visiting places of historical importance.
He said that this tour will provide them new experiences and vast exposure to visiting places that would be really helpful for them in their studies. It will be an educational tour for the students, added IGP Jammu.
Three police officers and four faculty members as caretakers are also accompanying the group, which will visit different places during their tour. The tour will be of 4 days and the group will return back on December 24.
During tour, the students will visit historical places at Amritsar and Chandigarh.
All the lodging, boarding and transport facilities have been provided by District Police Jammu.
Among others SP Rural Dushyant Sharma, SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma, SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania were present on the occasion.
