JAMMU, Dec 20: Doon International School Jammu, amidst great ardour, exhilaration and high spirits celebrated its fourth Annual Day ‘The Triumph 2018-19’projecting the various victories we attain or can attain in our lives, through an impressive extravaganza exhibited by the talented DABS of Doon International School in General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, here.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation graced the occasion as the chief guest while Mir Naseem Ahmed, Ex-Commissioner Lakes and Waterways Authority and Jagadish Singh Dhami, President Sahodaya School Complex Jammu Chapter were the guests of honour.
The auditorium lit up with excitement as the programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest.
Dr Vikesh Kaur, Principal Doon International School Jammu formally welcomed the eminent dignitaries and rendered the annual report of the school highlighting the stupendous accomplishments of the students and the institution throughout the year 2018.
This was followed by the Academic and Endowment Awards facilitated by the Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Gupta said that the entire programme was meticulously planned and executed by the entire team of DIS Jammu which showcased the commendable grandeur of the school.
The cultural extravaganza began with the melodious and mellow welcome song by the teachers followed by an orchestration symphony which was an amalgamation of vocal and instrumental consonance.
Chairman GN Tantray, Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur and Vice Chairman MA Tantray applauded the exceptional endeavour of the entire staff and the stellar performances of the students for making the 4th Annual Day ‘TheTriumph 2018-19’ a prodigious success.
The vote of thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal Gurdeep Kaur.
The program culminated with the soulful musical display of the national anthem.
The whole event was coordinated by the headmistress Sarita Moza Kaul, chief coordinators Rachana Khanna, Shivali Pathania and Reva Katyal.
