Martyrs Memorial Cricket Tournament

KATHUA, Dec 21: Shastri Club Delhi and Malik Sports Club registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing 8th Police Martyrs Memorial North Zone T-20 Cricket Championship 2018, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
First match was played between LB Shastri Club Delhi and Gursagar Cricket Club Chandigarh.
Gursagar Cricket Club won the toss and chose to bat first. Gursagar Cricket Club managed to score 101 runs in 20 overs which L.B.Shastri Club Delhi chased in just 8.3 overs by losing1wicket. Angad of Gursagar Cricket Club top scored with 54 runs off 42 balls with 7 boundaries. Vikas Dixit of LB Shastri Club was declared as the man of the match. He scored 31 runs not out and took 4 wickets in 4 overs.
In another match of the Championship, played between Kashmir Nights Kashmir Club and Malik Sports Club Delhi, Kashmir Nights Club won the toss and chose to bat first. Kashmir Nights Kashmir set a target of 114 runs in 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process.
Malik Sports Club won the match by 9 wickets in just 9.5 overs. Abhishek Pathak’s thunderous 94 runs off 39 balls with 8 boundaries and 8 sixes was highlight of the day which took Malik Sports Club Delhi to home. He was declared as the man of match.
The matches are being witnessed by a huge gathering.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Gursagar Cricket Club Chandigarh will take on Kashmir Nights Kashmir, while LB Shastri Club Delhi will face Malik Sports Club Delhi.
