JAMMU, Dec 22: Additional Director General Police (ADGP), HG/CD and SDRF, Security, Law and Order J&K Munir Ahmed Khan conducted a detailed meeting with Area Commandants of Homeguards and Deputy Controllers Civil Defence of Jammu Province at SDRF 2nd Battalion Headquarters, here today.
During the meeting, Munir Ahmed Khan interacted with the officers and asked all the field officers Incharge of HG/CD and SDRF units to explain progress report of their respective districts. It was heartening to note that the Home Guards/Civil Defence volunteers were enrolled and trained in large number and these volunteers along with district SDRF units participated in may rescue operations pertaining to accident victims, cross border firing victims, highway accident and militancy victims.
Incharge DIG, HG/ CD/ Director Homeguards, Jammu, Commandant SDRF 1st Battalion Srinagar and Commandant SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu presented their agenda points through power point presentation.
During the meeting, Munir Ahmed Khan also conveyed the limitations that they have in terms of training and rescue equipment, mobility of transport, livinng office accommodation etc. and assured that he will take necessary steps with regard to non availability office building, accommodation of the officers and the equipments required by subordinate units on top priority.
