JAMMU, Dec 26: J&K State Sports Council under the guidance of Dr Naseem Javaid Choudhary , its Secretary organized District Level Sports Competitions in the game of Basketball, Wrestling, Taekwondo and Powerlifting in District Samba under the overall supervision of Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council, here.
Basketball and Wrestling competitions were organized at MV International School, where Gourav Abrol, Director MV International School was the chief guest and KL Gupta, Principal of the School was the guest of honour on the concluding function who gave away the prizes and certificates to Basketball and Wrestling position holders, where APS BD Bari was winner and MV International School was the runners-up in men’s section, whereas MV International School was winner and Humanity Public School Bari-Brahmana was runner-up in girls section.
Taekwondo Competition was held at Humanity Public School Bari-Brahmana where Gourav Charak, Principal of the School gave away the prizes to first three position holders in different weight categories.
Powerlifting Competition was held in Cuts-N-Curve Gym, Gaghwal where Ravinder Singh Sambyal, Ex AAO, J&K State Sports Council was the chief guest, who gave away the prizes to the winners of different weight categories.
Iqbal Singh, Football Coach, Jagjeet Singh, Hockey Coach and other staff of the department helped in organizing these competitions.
