Will do best to improve standard of sports in J&K: Ganga

JAMMU, Dec 29: 45th J&K State Badminton Championship, organized by J&K Badminton Association concluded at Badminton Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
In U-10 Boys Singles final, Gopesh Singh defeated Harsh Sharma, whereas in Girls Singles category final, Suhani Sharma got walkover against Snowy Goswami.
In U-13 Boys Singles final, Sarthak Jain defeated Bhavdeep Singh, whereas in Girls Singles final, Snowy Goswami defeated Skiedeep Kour.
In U-13 Boys Doubles final, Sarthak and Bhavdeep registered win over Udhyan and Vaibhav Mehta.
In U-15 Boys Singles final, Aesh Goswami defeated Sidharth, whereas in U-15 Boys Doubles final, Ayush and Dheerak defeated Mridul and Sidharth and in U-15 Girls Singles, Unnati jaral defeated Sambhavi Rajput.
In U-17 Boys Singles final, Aesh Goswami defeated Sehdev Singh, whereas in U-17 Boys Doubles, Yashdeep and Sehdev defeated Prajwal and Dheeraj and in U-17 Girls Singles, Poorvi Singh defeated Rashmi Kashyap.
In U-17 Girls Doubles final, Unnati and Poorvi defeated Rashmi and Pranjal, whereas in U-19 Boys Singles final, Aesh Goswami defeated Nakul Vaid and in U-19 Boys Doubles, Yashdeep and Sehdev defeated Dheeraj and Prajwal.
In U-19 Girls Singles final, Poorvi Singh defeated Rashmi Kashyap, whereas in U-19 Mixed Doubles, Rashmi and Aryan defeated Unnati and Nakul and in Men Singles final, Raghav Dogra defeated Vipul Saini.
In Women Singles final, Rashmi Kashyap defeated Poorvi Singh, in Women Doubles, Rashmi and Poorvi outplayed Bhavini and Unnati and in Senior Mixed Doubles, Raghav and Rupal defeated Vipul and Diksha.
On the valedictory function, Chander Parkash Ganga, Former Minister and President J&K Badminton Association was the chief guest, who gave away the prizes to the winners and runner-ups.
Speaking on the occasion, Ganga underlined the need of sports to inculcate the discipline, team spirit and competition spirit among the youth. He assured the players and the distinguished guests present in the badminton hall that he will do his best to encourage the sports and improve its standard in the J&K.

Balbir Jamwal General Secretary JKBA, Ravi Singh Divisional Sports officer, Satish Gupta Manager Indoor Complex, Dushyant Sharma, Vice Chairman JKBA, Mohammad Irfanullah Vice Chairman JKBA, Iftikhar Hussain Wani Secretary Bandipora District, Rahul Sharma, Treasurer JKBA and Chief Referee, Sat Pal Sharma and Vikram Saini. SAI coaches, Sukhdev Singh, Vivek Mehta and Amir Islam.
In the end, Balbir Jamwal. General Secretary, J&K Badminton Association presented vote of thanks.
