KARGIL, Jan 1: Dr Vinod Kumar, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kargil, today said that the police are going to work on two-pronged strategy this year to reduce road accidents in the district.
Interacting with Jawans and officers here at District Police Lines, the SP said, “We achieved many goals set for outgoing year but many things are yet to be accomplished”.
He revealed different proposals that will make up District Police Kargil’s agenda and road map for the year 2019. The proposal included two pronged strategy for reduction in road accidents through enforcement and awareness, capacity building and skill upgaradation through various training modules in investigation and law and order.
While speaking about the welfare of Jawans, the Officer said it is his top priority and no stone will be left unturned to redress the genuine grievances of the police personnel of the district. He encouraged Jawans to put forth their problems before him during the orderly rooms held twice a week on Monday and Thursday.
SP Kargil added that Jammu and Kashmir Police is disciplined force and officers/officials need to maintain highest standards of professionalism, moral and ethics during their conduct in public.
Deputy SP Headquarters, Kargil, Mujahid-Ul-Haq, Deputy SP DAR, Kargil, Rigzin Sandup, Deputy SP Traffic, Ladakh, Manzoor Hussain, Senior PO, Kargil, Nawang Nurboo and other officers were also present.
