SRINAGAR, Jan 2: Baramulla Rising Star Baseball Club clinched the Baramulla District Baseball Championship title by defeating Madina Public School Nooripora by a margin of 4:2 at sports stadium, Pattan in district Baramulla.
During the championship, a team of 16 members each was selected for the upcoming 13th State Level Baseball Championship, which is scheduled to be held at Srinagar.
Professor Mohammad Aslam Bhat, Vice Principal, Government Degree College, Pattan was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed the prizes and certificates among the winner and runner up teams. Fida Hassain Fidvi, Ex-General Secretary, J&K Baseball Association, Hilal Ahmad Ground Incharge JKSSC Pattan, Altaf Hussain Bhat, Rouf Ahmad Sofi, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Shahnawaz Hussain Mir and Firdous Hussain Rather were also present on the concluding function.
Large number of spectators, students and teaching staff witnessed the concluding ceremony of the championship, which was organized by the Baramulla District Baseball Association and was sponsored by the J&K State Sports Council under the aegis of J&K Baseball Association.
