REASI, Jan 5: Former Minister and senior National Conference (NC) leader, Abdul Gani Malik has exhorted the cadre to get ready for big challenges in bringing back political stability that has received major dent due to anti-democratic policies of the PDP-BJP Government in the State.
Welcoming political activists from the PDP and Congress into the National Conference fold at Kotli Kala Baan in Chasana block of Gulabgarh Constituency, Malik said NC is the only choice for well-meaning, dedicated and public spirited political workers to serve the State, especially its remote and far flung areas.
Malik hoped that with their joining the National Conference will be further strengthened at the grass roots level and urged the cadre to fan out in various areas, identify the problems of the people and seek their redressal at appropriate levels.
He described N C as a mass movement that has strived for regional and religious unity for decades. He cautioned the people against the divisive and disruptive forces by maintaining time tested amity, brotherhood and inclusiveness. He said unity in diversity is the greatest strength of the State, which has to be maintained at all costs.
The Sarpanch of the area Punjab Singh was also present on the occasion. He greeted the new entrants on joining National Conference.
The new entrants pledged to work for carrying forward the policies and programmes of National Conference and strive for peace and tranquility in the State.
