JAMMU, Jan 5: Panjtirthi police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a Srinagar resident and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Panjtirthi Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 7 grams of heroin and arrested the pedestrian, who has been identified as Junaid Feroz Dar, son of Feroz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Rainawari, Srinagar.
A case under FIR Number 6/19 under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Panjtirthi SI Vipin Bangotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO PS Pacca Danga Inspector Virender Gupta, SDPO North Varun Jandial, SP City Amritpal Singh and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
