MAJALTA, Jan 13: Majalta Cricket League, organised by Bhupinder Singh Pathania Memorial Charitable Trust concluded here today.
Thirty two teams participated in the tournament and vied for the top honours. Member Parliament (RS), Shamsher Singh Manhas was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony of the final match while Ex MLA Ramnagar RS Pathania was guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Manhas lavished praise on the organisers for smooth and successful conduct of the tournament.
He also appreciated the efforts of MLA Ramnagar for taking initiatives in providing Stadium facility to youth of the area.
Earlier, Battal Panchayat trounced Bilaspur Panchayat in the summit clash to lift the title trophy.
Bilaspur set a target of 104 runs in 20 overs for the rivals, which was chased by Battal Panchayat in easily in 18 overs. Rohit Sharma of Bilaspur was adjudged as the man of the series.
The winners were presented a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 8,000, while the runners-up team was given Rs 5,000 as cash prize in addition to the runners-up trophy.
The tournament was held under the overall supervision of Arjun Singh Pathania, Chairman, Shri Bhupinder Singh Pathania Memorial Charitable Trust.
