JAMMU, Jan 18: Member Legislative Council (MLC) and senior BJP leader, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today conducted extensive tour of Channi Himmat and Channi Rama to take stock of the problems being faced by the people.
During his tour the local residents raised various issues pertaining to power and construction of lanes and drains. Randhawa issued on spot directions to the concerned authorities to address them at an earliest. He also assured people to get all their issues addressed within shortest possible time.
During his visit to Mohalla Rajput in Channi Rama area the locals demanded replacement of existing transformer with 250KVA transformer as the existing transformer is unable to bear the present power load of the area. Responding to their demand Randhawa said that he will take up the matter with the Power Development Department (PDD) and assured people that the same will be replaced within week.
While addressing the gathering Randhawa said that BJP is committed for the overall development of the State where basic issues like power supply, drinking water supply, proper connectivity needs to be addressed on priority.
He said that BJP has launched many schemes for development of the nation as well for the upliftment of the down trodden section of the society. He urged the people to come forward and avail the benefits of such people friendly schemes of the Government.
The locals present on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the Ch. Vikram Randhawa in reaching out to them and for taking stock of their problems. They expressed their gratitude to the MLC and extended full support to the BJP in the coming future.
