JAMMU, Jan 19: Bhaderwah police arrested an absconder wanted in rape case, who was evading arrest since long, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Shadi Lal, son of Churu Ram Jogi, a resident of Butla Tehsil Bhaderwah, District Doda.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 47/1997 under Sections 376 and 323 RPC with Police Station Bhaderwah.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Muneer Khan made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Aadil Reshu, Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir Malik.
