JAMMU, Jan 21: British International School (BIS), Sainik Colony, Jammu released its School Newsletter on January 21 in a solemn function.
Talat Parvez Rohella, Excise Commissioner, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, who released the Newsletter in presence of Ahtsham Bhat and Chairperson of BIS, Gita Sharma.
Talat Parvez said, “The School Newsletter is the reflection of the culture of a school, as it is a mirror of activities held in the school.
He said alongside academic and curricular inputs, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities help shape the overall personality of the child, adding that he was glad the children of Jammu have got an opportunity to access the IB and Cambridge Curriculum and become global citizens.
Gita Sharma said, “The Newsletter is a valuable souvenir for the students and the staff and a golden trophy for parents and the community to cherish. It is also a kaleidoscope of sorts of the variety and diversity of the demography that our school contains. It helps record the curricular and extra-curricular journey of the school and provides an opportunity to the students to showcase their talent and explore their creative potential.”
A copy of the Newsletter was given to all the children on the day, so that they could enjoy and relate to everything that was in the newsletter.
