LEH, Jan 24: Deputy Chairman LAHDC, Gyal P. Wangyal here today inspected the construction work of foot-bridge being on Indus River.
On this occasion ACD Leh, Tsering Paldan and Executive Engineer REW, Skalzang Dorjey updated the Deputy Chairman about the progress of work and said that iron pipes are being drilled 10 feet deep from the base of the river into earth using submersible pump drilling machine truck to ensure strong base for the bridge.
It is pertinent to mention here that a new 60 metres span double line bridge with footpath on both sides will be replaced by the old bridge whose dismantling work was started in second week of Dec 2018.
