KATHUA, Jan 25: Pooja Mahajan of Spring Dales English School Changran, Kathua has been declared as a winner in Transforming Education Awards organized by Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar for Best Inspirational Teacher.
Sarthak (11th Class) and Aftab ( 10th Class) had made the video on their most inspiring teacher which has been selected in J&K State out of 33 videos from the State.
The school has been awarded a grant of Rs 20,000, the Teacher an award of Rs 10,000 and the students who made the video, have been awarded a prize of Rs 2,500 each.
The awards to all the winning teachers of the country will be given in a Ceremony at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar.
The nominations for the award were invited from October 5, 2018 in the form of an inspirational video to be made by students for the teacher which inspires them the most.
979 videos of teachers across the country were uploaded on facebook for voting which ended on January 7, 2019.
The selections have been made based on voting as well as the appraisal of the teacher.
