JAMMU, Jan 27: Tableau ‘Progress to Prosperity’ presented by J&K SC, ST, OBC Corporation got second position in Republic Day Prade at University of Jammu, here.
The Tableau was designed and executed by renowned artist of the State M. Akram Khan.
The tableau depicts the corporation target group members for their socio- economic and educational upliftment by availing the welfare schemes of the corporation available for SC, ST,OBC, Notified National Minorities Viz Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians, Parsis and Jains, besides Safi Karamcharies and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
This was the initiative of the Corporation to give wide publicity to the schemes of corporation and to reach at the grassroots level.
The corporation in its message has highlighted its schemes available for target groups and asked the target groups to avail these schemes to improve their socio-economic living standers by establishing self employment income generating units under various sectors.
It was also highlighted in the message that the corporation provides educational loan to the students of the target groups families for pursuing professional and technical studies in India and abroad at very nominal rates of interest.
The management of the corporation is taking all the steps to fulfill the dreams of the members of target group communities so that they become self reliant members of the societies.
