JAMMU, Feb 2: CMP Convent Higher Secondary School Dayalachak and Naveen Vidya Mandir High School Jammu celebrated Annual Day with pomp and show, here today.
A spectacular show was put on by the students of both the schools in an enthusiastic manner while students showcased their talents in various fields and cultural items, including Sarswati Vandana, Dogri, Kashmiri, Gojri and Pahadi Dance.
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking appreciated the performances of students in particular and of the School Managements in general.
He also urged upon the teachers to work hard and put on efforts for all round development of students in an innovative way.
He also stressed upon grooming the kids with moral, social and patriotic education so as to develop them as responsible citizens of the country.
He also added that the congenial and safe environment for the overall development of young kids was considered as a mission by this Government, adding that it was the result of same that recently India launched a students’-made satellite in space.
The chief guest also threw light on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme.
Prizes were also distributed to the meritorious students of both the schools by the chief guest on the occasion.
