JAMMU, Feb 4: State Karate team sponsored by Amateur Karate Association excelled in Cadet, Junior and Under-21 National Karate Championship, organised by Karate Association of India (KAI) at Jayalalitha Badminton Hall, Chennai.
Ansh Razdan won gold medal in Kumite, while Shivam Kumar bagged silver in Kata and Tanush claimed silver in Kata and Kumite. Gagandeep Singh won bronze in Kumitee, while Anuj Jandle won gold in Kumite and bronze in Kata.
The team was accompanied by Vikas Dhar, KAI National Coach as the coach and Amit Singh as the Manager.
The founder member of the Association, Sanjeev Dewan and other prominent members of the Association lauded the efforts of the team members along with the support staff for good performances.
Prominent among other members who congratulated the team were Ramesh Chander, Manoj Mehra, Mujahid Yaqoob, Umesh Rekhi, Shazad, Rashid, Abdul Aziz, Amir Gulzar and Brajesh Bhau.
