JAMMU, Feb 8: Agriculture Employees Co-ordination Committee (AECC) a conglomerate of different gazetted and non-gazetted agriculture Associations/ Unions has demanded appointment of Director Agriculture, Jammu of Technical Cadre from the Gazetted Agriculture Services. The AECC has shown resentment against appointment of Non-Technical Officer from Kashmir Administrative Services as Director Agriculture Jammu vide Government order no: GAD (Ser) Genl/204/2009 dated: 07.02.2019.
The speakers during the meeting appealed the Governor Satya Pal Malik and Advisor to Governor, Krishnan Skandan to revert the above mentioned order to save the exploitation of Agriculture Professionals. The AECC Chairman, Pradeep Sharma said that the appointment of director from non-technical line will do injustice with the agriculture professionals and with farming community.
They said the Agriculture Fraternity is already suffering since last 35 years due to non-conductance of DPC in the hands of the bureaucracy who have headed the Agriculture Production Department. Moreover some representatives from Farmers Associations have also approached the AECC and have shown their resentment against posting of a Non-technical Director Agriculture which is not in the interest of farming community.
