Durga Nagar residents’ delegation meets Advisor, RRC

JAMMU, Feb 9: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee led by its president Roshan Lal Raina called on Advisor to Governor, incharge Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department and demanded that a tube well be constructed on JDA land immediately so that the water crisis in coming Summer season can be averted.
The delegation informed the Advisor that Chief Engineer PHE has already written a letter to VC, JDA for allotment of land for the purpose so that water crisis is solved in Durga Nagar.
The delegation also demanded payment of advance relief and ration on the eve of Maha Shivratri so that the relief holders will not face problem in celebrating this auspicious festival.
Later the delegation called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, M L Raina and urged him to pay a visit to non camp locality of Durga Nagar where a huge population of migrants is putting up to assess their problems.
The delegation later met the Executive Engineer, PDD, Division 3rd and demanded issuance of 10 electric poles for Kalashpati lane and surrounding lanes. The delegation in its meeting with RTO Jammu demanded immediate issuance of magic auto permits so that the public don’t face transport problems in future.
