Women’s Cricket U-19 One Day Tourney

JAMMU, Feb 14: Jammu and Kashmir eves suffered a humiliating defeat against Tripura in the Women’s Cricket Under-19 One Day Tournament at Margoa Cricket Club, Goa.
Earlier, put into bat, Tripura rode on a brilliant 84 runs by skipper Ambika Debnath to score a good total of 251 runs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Puja PAUL, Ananya Debnath, Gangati Tripura and Tumpa Das contributed 44, 30, 20 and 13 runs to the total respectively. Extras also contributed 44 runs to the total. From Jammu and Kashmir, Arti took 2 wickets, while Ronak Jahan and Sadiya Wani claimed one wicket each.
In reply, J&K bundled out for 61 runs in 30.3 overs. Lalita (12) was the only batswomen to cross double figure mark. From Tripura, Hiramani Gour and Puja Das took 3 wickets each, while Priya Tripura claimed 2 wickets. Antara Das and Kritika Karmakar also claimed one wicket each.
