JAMMU, Feb 22: A delegation of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) led by its president, Rajinder P. Kakkar here today met Vice Chairman (VC) Jammu Development Authority (JDA), Vikas Sharma.
The delegation demanded single window system for procedure of documentation after a notification was issued by JDA for free hold rights.
Deputation members also said that the procedure regarding payment per marla of land is incomplete and also a lengthy process.
They also said that residents of Trikuta Nagar colony are mostly senior citizen and it becomes difficult for them to follow the lengthy process.
They further submitted that residents of housing colony Channi Himant are paying Rs. 5000 per marla for free hold rights and demanded a review before issuing new notification with rates per marla.
Issue of regulating the additional land which is already in the possession of adjoining allotted plots at the same rates which has been charged at the time of allotment was also raised.
The VC listened to the delegation and assured that after discussing the demands with concerned authorities he will call the delegation to finalize the details at the earliest.
Ashok Kumar Arora, Patron TNWS; Vijay Gupta, Secretary TNWS and N.K Bali were also present in the delegation.
