KISHTWAR, Feb 23: Congress leader and member Civil Society Kishtwar, Shamsher Singh Bhandari expressed his grave concern over the power crisis being faced by people in Kishtwar district since last fortnight.
In a statement issued here, today, Bhandari said since the snow fall, the Kishtwar is facing total blackout and Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to restore the power supply in the district in general and Kishtwar town in particular putting the people to more problems and hardships in this chilly Winter.
He demanded that restoration work of power supply in the district be started on war footing basis.
Bhandari also demanded snow clearance in the lanes and by lanes of Kishtwar town and urged the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar to issue instructions to authorities of Municipal Council Kishtwar in this regard.
He said people in the town are facing problems in free movement as all lanes and by lanes are covered with snow in the town.
