Rahul helps WCC drub Pogal Banihal by 8 wkts

REASI, Feb 11: Rahul Ticku helped Whites Cricket Club (WCC), Jammu to thrash Pogal Banihal Cricket Club by 8 wickets in the opening match of the Reasi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, which got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
Dr Swaran Singh Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi was the chief guest in the inaugural ceremony who declared the tournament open.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chib said that sports serve for delight, for ornament and for agility.
Earlier, batting first, Pogal Banihal CC batsmen failed to negotiate the disciplined bowling from WCC bowlers and the whole side collapsed at a meagre score of 54 runs in 13.5 overs. Extras were the maximum contributors with 21 runs, while none of the batsmen succeeded in crossing the double figure mark. Sandeep was the highest scorer with 8 runs. Rahul Ticku was the wrecker-in-chief for WCC, who bagged 7 important wickets.
WCC, in reply, scored the required runs in just 7.4 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets. Sonu (14), Ajay Singh (12) and Lucky (11) were the main contributors. Extras contributed 15 runs to the total.
The tournament is being organized by Reasi Cricket Club under the supervision of Nadeem Bhat, Vikas Sadhotra and Vikas Baru.
The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with the trophy and other prizes.
