JAMMU, Feb 11: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Rangers today held a flag meeting at forward village of Khwara in Samba sector to discuss cutting of bushes for clear view on the International Border (IB).
Official sources said Commandant BSF’s 9th battalion Vijay Paul Singh and Wing Commander Jabbar Ahmad of 24 Panchnar Punjab (Pakistan) represented India and Pakistan in the flag meeting respectively.
They said the two sides discussed cutting of grown up grass and bushes, which were creating hurdles in clear view on the IB in Samba sector.
The flag meeting was held to ensure that there was no ceasefire violation during cutting of grass.
The BSF reportedly had apprehensions that the militants could take advantage of grown up grass and bushes to infiltrate into this side.
