Sat starts developmental works

JAMMU, Mar 5: Former MLA and senior BJP leader, Sat Sharma here today started developmental works at UNO Lane area of Ward No. 31.
District President BJP, Ayodhya Gupta; Corporator Ward No. 31, S. Sucha Singh; JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) officials, local residents and political activists of the area were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said the works will be done under the supervision of JMC at an estimated cost of Rs 4.61 lakh and will include up-gradation of lanes and drains at UNO lane and raising of drains so that cleanliness can prevail in the area.
He said that there was no development in Jammu West when he took over as MLA of the Constituency four years back and he managed to get hundreds of crores of rupees from various authorities so that development can prevail in every nook and corner of the Assembly segment.
He stated that Congress remained in power in J&K for a long time but could not manage to develop Jammu to its fullest and now they (Congress) are blaming the nationalist party like BJP.
