NOWSHERA, Mar 6: PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma (Ex-MLC) today visited some of the areas of remote border villages Meenka, Kalai-Dabur, Beeng and Kalal and took stock of the problems of people due to heavy shelling across the border for the last 2-3 days.
Sharma has strongly condemned fresh heavy shelling by the Pakistan and asked the authorities to ensure the safety of border residents and make all contingency arrangements to deal with the situations. He also demanded befitting response to the Pakistan for unprovoked firing especially in civilian areas.
He said that whatever measures has taken by the Govt that are insufficient and it needs to take more steps to ensure fool proof security and safety of civilian population residing near to the border. He demanded short term and long term safety measures for border area people which includes allotment of plots in safer zones and bunkers for them at appropriate places in borders areas. He also demanded ex-gratia relief to the fire victims and best medical treatment to those who injured in the firing.
