JAMMU, Mar 6: All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association here today staged a protest demonstration under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali, Association President.
The protesters demanded arrears of COLA from the year 1999 and also those of sixth pay commission from the year 2006.
They raised slogans in favour of their demands.
Other demands raised by the Association included bonus at 8.33 per cent on basic pay and implementation of corporation benefits.
The protesters appealed to the Governor to intervene into the issue so that their demands may be conceded.
Prominent among those present in the protest were Surinder Singh, Balwinder Singh, Prem Nath, B.B Sharma, Shiv Kumar, Deep Raj, Khadam Hussain and others.
