NEW DELHI, Feb 13: Cardamom futures prices today fell for the second straight day by losing Rs 14.10 to Rs 938.60 per kg as speculators offloaded their positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand.
Higher supplies in the physical market on increased arrivals from producing belts also kept pressure on cardamom futures prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in February fell further by Rs 14.10, or 1.48 per cent, to Rs 938.60 per kg in business turnover of 15 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 7.50, or 0.74 per cent, to Rs 1,012 per kg in 215 lots.
Market analysts said speculators offloading their positions tracking a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand against higher supplies mainly kept cardamom futures weak for the second day. (PTI)
