JAMMU, Mar 10: Jammu and Kashmir Body Builders Association (JKBBA) is going to organise two-day Body Building Championship on April 12 and 13, 2019.
“Body builders from across the State as well as from the North India are going to participate in this gala event and contest for the title of Mr North India and Mr J&K,” said Rajesh Dutta, General Secretary of the Association in a meeting held here today.
Dutta informed that on April 12, the championship will be held for title Mr J&K and the championship for title Mr North India will be held on April 13 at Dusshera Ground, Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
The aforesaid championship is being conducted under the guidelines of IBBF,” Dutta said, adding that the preparations in this context are going in full swing in the International Gym at Rehari Colony.
Sureshet Dutta, Organizing Secretary of the Association said that the competition is being conducted with an aim to encourage the players to keep the mind and body fit and to avoid drugs and other harmful means.
“The Jammu youth has hidden talent which needs to be explored by encouraging them with the participation of such programmes. Such programmes provide a perfect platform which will enable themselves to compete with the other youth of the country,” Dutta said.
Vinay Sharma (Three times National Medallist) was also present.
