REASI, Mar 15: With an objective of ensuring effective management of the print & electronic media during the forthcoming elections of Lok Sabha, the State BJP has undertaken an exercise of setting up of media team in each Assembly segment with party State spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan being assigned the task to supervise media related activities of Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliamentary Constituency.
In this regard, Balbir Ram Rattan, visited Reasi and held meeting with the members of the Assembly Constituency level teams and discussed the tips for proper management of the task given to them.
Balbir Ram Rattan, while speaking on the importance of print & electronic media with the team members, told them that the news items carried by the newspapers and channels are still more reliable and authentic and hence it is must that these means should be properly utilized in reaching the masses with achievements of the sitting MP and the Union Government and future programmes. He stressed on making a good liaison with the local level newspapers and channels and efforts be made that party gets adequate space and time in local papers and channels.
“The role of the BJP media teams at district and Assembly constituency levels becomes all the more important as issues and problems in one area may not be same in others and are to be highlighted in that way”, Balbir said and stressed upon them to devote maximum time for the next one and half month as their allotted work is not less than round the clock duty.
The meeting was attended by Sudesh Puri (Chairman, Reasi Municipal Committee), Ajay Sharma and Prabhat Singh from Reasi, Sukhdev Singh, Kulwant Raj and Ashok Singh from Gool-Arnas, Keekar Singh and Randhir Singh from Gulabgarh Assembly constituencies of the district.
