POONCH, Mar 15: A Traffic Police personnel was crushed to death by a truck at Surankote, in district Poonch today.
The deceased has been identified as Aftab Parvez (SPO), deputed with Traffic Police in Surankote area. The mishap took place on Surankote Bypass Road when the cop signaled a truck to stop. The truck driver ran over the cop after he tried to stop him by standing in front of the vehicle. He was crushed to death on the spot. The police seized the truck but the driver managed to escape. A case has been registered in this connection.
