JAMMU, Mar 16: To observe the World Consumer Rights Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production and National College of Computer Education here today staged Musical Play ‘Jago Grahak Jago’.
Theme of this year for the World Consumers Day is ‘Trusted Smart Products’.
The programme started by the lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest, V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity.
Dr. Anju Dogra from Health Department and Dr. Anupriya Sharma, president Medical Cell of J&K were guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said, it becomes essential that the people are aware of their rights as consumers.
He further said that consumer rights include the right to be protected from all kind of hazardous goods and services, right to be fully informed about the performance and quality of all goods and services, right to freely choose goods and services, right to be heard in all decision-making processes related to consumer interests etc.
The Musical Play ‘Jago Grahak Jago’ was written, produced and directed by M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS.
The singers, musician, actors and students of Music and Computer institute who performed in the play were Usha Handoo, K.K Joshi, M.C Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Dhruv Pandit, Rajni Gupta, Chahat Chadha and others.
