PHE workers to observe strike on Mar 25,26

JAMMU, Mar 22: PHE Employees United Front (Jammu province) has decided to observe two days’ strike in support of pending demands of the PHE workers on March 25 and 26.
After observing 24-hour strike recently, the PHE Employees United Front led by senior leaders Bakshi Singh, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Subhash Verma, K C Dubey and others decided to observe two days’ strike in Jammu region to press for the pending demands of the employees and workers.
The leaders alleged that instead of regularization of 22053 daily wagers/ casual workers, the department has started many workers. The Front has been demanding regularisation of workers under SRO 520 and release of the pending wages of 55 months of the workers but these demands have not been addressed so far. They issued appeal to the PHE workers to observe complete strike in all the PHE offices, pumping and water stations across the region.
