Tributes paid to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru on 88th martyrdom anniversary

JAMMU, Mar 23: Rich tributes were paid to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Raj Guru on their 88th martyrdom anniversary.
Governor Satya Pal Malik paid rich tribute to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their 88th martyrdom anniversary. Saluting their martyrdom, Governor observed that the sacrifices made by the revolutionaries in India’s freedom struggle will always inspire the youth to serve selflessly towards the better interest of the nation.
Their sacrifice and courage will forever be remembered by the generations to come, he added.

To commemorate the 88th Martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed-e-Aazm Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, the State Unit of All India Lawyers’ Union organized meeting in which lawyers and other citizens participated. The meeting was presided over by Advocate Hari Chand Jalmeria State President of AILU, who also addressed the gathering along with Amrit Sarin, Teja Singh, Gharu Ram, Arvind Singh, Amar Vir, Shamber Singh, Chokas Ram, Brij Mohan, Ranjit Paswan, etc.
Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee remembered the martyrs of motherland Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru and paid rich tributes to them for their struggle for freedom. A programme in this regard was organized at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Complex Chand Nagar, Jammu under the leadership of Comrade Sukhdev Singh Convener of the Committee in which senior trade union leaders and prominent citizens shared their views. On the occasion, the Award of Honour was given to Late Comrade Vidya Bhushan Member of the Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee. The award was given in lieu to his dedication towards humanity and mankind. A memento was given to Comrade Kulwant Singh as an Souvenir by Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee. On the occasion, Comrade JA Kazmi Advocate, Balkar Singh, HC Jalmaria Advocate, Mohal Lal, Avtar Singh Khalsa, Balkar Singh and many others expressed their views.
Floral tributes were paid to all three martyrs of freedom struggle on their martyrdom day including Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru by BJP Jammu West unit. The program was organized at party headquarters, Kachi Chawni in which a large number of people paid their tributes to the martyrs of freedom struggle. Former State President BJP and Ex Minister Sat Sharma and others spoke on the occasion. The program was organized under the leadership of District President BJP West Ayodhya Gupta. Prabhari Jammu District Jugal Dogra, Ex Vice Chairman OBC Board Rashpal Verma, District General Secretary Sanjeev Sharma, Vansh Mahajan, Mohan Singh Slathia, Kuldeep Mahajan, Sanjay Changotra, Sandeep Verma, Ram Nath, Kawal Fotra, Ajay Kumar, Rajinder Gupta and several others participated in the program.
To pay tributes to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and renowned poet Avtar Singh ‘Paash’, SMJ organized fifth series of “Basant Ke Harkare”, here today. On the occasion, a poster exhibition of Bhagat Singh’s thoughts and couplets of Paash’s poetry was organized. SMJ President Abhimanu Sharma presented the welcome address. On the occasion, a senior writer Maharaj Krishan Santoshi presented his paper. In his presidential address, Manoj Sharma emphasized on Bhagat Singh’s philosophy and highlighted some hidden aspects of his life. Renowned writers, journalists, theatre personalities and artists attended the function. In the end, SMJ General Secretary Sheikh Mohammad Kalyan presented vote of thanks.
SS Sodhi, Chairman, J&K Intellectual Civil Society, New Delhi, all the members of the Civil Society, prominent citizens and others held a meeting and paid rich tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Rajguru on their martyr’s day. While speaking, SS Sodhi requested all the countrymen and young generation to prepare themselves for all type of sacrifices including supreme sacrifices whenever the necessity arises for maintaining security and sovereignty of the country, as it is most essential in present times.
Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) under the patronage of its Founder Prof Bhim Singh paid tributes to national heroes and martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev Singh, who laid down their lives in the freedom movement. Prominent among those who were paid respects and remembered for their role included Sardar Mushtaq Ahmed Khan (State President JKNPP), Thakur Dass Chanoter (Udhampur District President JKNPP), Sudershan Sambyal (Mahila Leader from Samba), Karan Dev Singh Jamwal (Senior State leader JKNPP), Yogi Thakur (Photo Journalist), Kamal Gouria (Chairman-Jammu Migrants Talwara), Bishan Saini, Thoru Ram Sharma, Inderpal Singh, etc. Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP, Balwant Singh Mankotia State President JKNPP, PK Ganju, Masood Ardrabi (Vice Presidents), Yash Paul Kundal, Anita Thakur and many others were present on the occasion.
Congress leader Hoshiar Singh and JKPCC members paid tributes to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. They also expressed their views in which they threw light on the life of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru and many others. Deepak Jallali, Gopinath, Naresh, Kulbir Singh, Shanty and many others were present on the occasion.
Peoples Welfare Society and State Pensioners Welfare Society have also paid rich tributes to Bhagat Singh Rajguru and Sukhdev who laid down their lives for a great cause.
The president of the Society and a veteran Trade Union leader, Mir Ghulam Rasool said the cause for which they laid down their lives is still to be realsed as exploitation of people, unemployment, poverty and backwardness still continues in the country.
