JAMMU, Mar 26: BJP senior leader and former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta today lambasted Congress, for aligning with PDP and NC as the duo have soft corner for separatists. He said these parties are playing the divisive politics just to befool the voters.
Kavinder Gupta who launched a campaign for BJP candidate from Jammu Poonch Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma addressed many gatherings in Shastri Nagar and Nanak Nagar falling under Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment. He said that BJP is the party of masses and more and more people are joining it as they see the future of the country safe in the hands of Prime Minister, Modi.
He said the voters have been confused by the so called “strategic alliance” which has been imposed on them by these parties in Jammu region just to support the candidature of Farooq Abdullah from Srinagar Lok Sabha Seat. This proves that they are concerned about Kashmir Division amongst three divisions of the State. They are least concerned about Jammu division and history is witness that they have also befooled the Kashmiris for decades together, he added.
Kavinder said these parties are responsible for the turmoil in the Valley and the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from there. The JKLF and Islamist insurgents are responsible for suffering of Kashmiri Pandits and these parties have opposed ban on Jammat and JKLF, he added.
He appealed to the public to get united and vote in favour of Jugal Kishore so that the voice of Jammu people is raised in Parliament. He said Jugal has a good track record and can be termed as the man of development which can be gauged from the projects sanctioned for Jammu and Kashmir in general and Jammu-Poonch Constituency in particular. He asked the party cadre to reach out to public in every nook and corner to spread the achievements of last 5 years. He further said that BJP surely will win all the six seats from Jammu and Kashmir and voters are now fed with the divisive politics played by NC, PDP and Congress.
Baldev Billawria, while addressing the meetings said, it is due to the clean and good governance of the Narendra Modi and the able leadership of BJP chief, Amit Shah that the party has become the single largest party in terms of primary membership.
Ramesh Sharma and Sumit Anand both of whom contested JMC elections as independent candidates joined BJP along with more than 100 supporters in presence of Baldev Billowria and other leaders on the occasion.
