JAMMU, Mar 27: Congress leader and member Gandhi Global Foundation, Shamsher Singh Bhandari today organized a meeting of people from Doda and Kishtwar putting up temporarily here and appealed them to vote for the Congress candidate from the Udhampur-Doda Constituency, Vikramaditya Singh and strengthen the hands of party national president, Rahul Gandhi and State president, G A Mir.
He said Congress is for strengthening of secular forces in the State as well as unity of all three regions with their equitable development. He also highlighted the contribution of Dogra rulers to the State and said Vikramaditya represents that dynasty which extended borders of the State to Tibet and South Asia.
Bhandari said the people from twin districts of Doda and Kishtwar putting up in Jammu should cast their vote at their respective polling stations in their areas and ensure victory of Congress candidate. Later he along with senior political activists of the area also visited the colonies where the people from the twin district are putting up at present and launched a door to door campaign in favour of the party candidate.
