Solitary goal wins by Param FC, Sports Saviours in State Football C’ship

JAMMU, Mar 29: Param Football Club and Sports Saviours registered solitary goal victories over their rivals in the ongoing State Football Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
In the first match, Param FC defeated DFA Kargil by one goal to nil (1-0). Ashwani was the goals scorer from Param FC, netting it in 25th minute of the match.
In another match, SFA Club got the better of Sports Saviours again by one goal to nil (1-0). Vishal netted the goal in 70th minute for Sports Saviours.
The matches were officiated by Ajay Singh, Abhishek, Honey Mehra, Rocky Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Honey Kumar and Suresh Gupta.
Today’s matches among others were witnessed by Zameer A. Thakur, President JKFA; Sheikh Mehmood, District President DFA Jammu; Ramesh Chander, Vice President DFA Jammu; Varinder Kumar and Charan Dass.
Meanwhile, four matches of 26th State Football Championship were played at Synthetic Turf, TRC in Srinagar.
In the first match, DFA Ganderbal defeated Pampore Zone by four gaols to two (4-2). Faisal Rashid of Ganderbal scored hat-trick.
In another match, DFA Anantnag defeated DFA Kupwara by six goals to one (6-1).
The third match was played between DFA Handwara and DFA Sopore, which ended in (1-1) draw and in the fourth match, DFA Budgam defeated DFA Shopian by six goals to one (6-1).
The tournament is being sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council.
