KATHUA, Feb 16: The police arrested five local youth, along with drugs and intoxicant injections from Shiv Nagar area near Canal in the town here today.
A senior police official said that a police party led by PSI Varinder Singh apprehended five youth on the basis of their suspicious activities and recovered nearly 40 gms smack and 39 intoxicant injections. They have been identified as Kamal Kishore, son of Surinder Kumar of Ward No. 2, Avtar Singh, son of Chatter Singh of Ward No.7, Roshan Lal, son of Ram Chand of Ward 17, Navnesh Jasrotia, son of Prem Singh of Janglote and Vishal Singh, son of Prem Singh of Ward No.7 Kathua. A case FIR No. 61/2013 has been registered against them at Kathua Police Station.
