GDC Bishnah organizes Prize Distribution Function

KATHUA, Feb 18: Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College Bishnah in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Prevention and Control Society (JKSACS), organised a Prize Distribution Function in connection with HIV Awareness Campaign 2012-13, here today.
A Programme on “Zero Zero New HIV Infections, Zero Discrimination and Zero Aids related Deaths” was held under the supervision of Prof Archana Bakshi, convener Red Ribbon Club and Finance Officer Sunita Gupta.
MLA Ashwani Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion, while Deepika B Thakur, Deputy Director IEC (JKSACS) was the guest of honour.
Earlier, Archana Bakshi presented welcome address, while Prof Kalpana Kesar, Principal of the College presented bouquets to the guests which was followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. The students also presented Saraswati Vandana.
Meanwhile, in symposium, the first position was shared by Rakesh Jamwal and Pooja Sharma, while Pooja Devi and Rohan Manotra bagged second and third spot respectively.
In poster making competition, Monika Kaith bagged first position, while Seema Mottan and Priya Sharma claimed second and third position respectively. Sonika Sharma and Rakesh Jamwal were adjudged best speakers of Red Ribbon Club.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Prof Hardeep Kour, Dr Alka Sharma, Dr Seema Jamwal, Seema Kumari, Shallu Pathania, Bandhu Sharma and Ashwani Raina.
Later-on, Dr Suman Charak presented vote of thanks.
