PATNITOP, Feb 20: With a aim to attract maximum tourists and winter sports lovers to the picturesque destination of Patnitop, a two-day Winter Carnival being organized by J&K Tourism Department in collaboration with Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) got underway, here today.
In the first day of the carnival various winter sports activities like fun skiing, sledging, tug of war and snow man building were organized at Nathatop. In the sports activities, participants from both within and outside the state participated and attracted a large crowd on the occasion.
For the entertainment of the visitors during the Carnival various activities were designed like Cultural programmes, Exhibition stalls by Handloom Development Department, Handicraft Dev. Crop. and Ethnic Food Stall, Fun Skiing, Tug of War, Snow-man Building Competitions etc. Later, Department of Tourism and Patnitop Development Authority also gave mementoes to the participants of different sports activities.
Officers of Tourism and Patnitop Development Authority, visitors and sports adventure lovers were present on the occasion.
