JAMMU, Feb 20: The Managing Committee, Staff and Students of Senior Secondary School Jeevan Nagar and Gandhi Nagar organized 45th Foundation Day and Prize Distribution Function, under the supervision of School Principal Rameshwar Mengi, here today.
The function was held in the school premises Jeevan Nagar, which was decorated with colourful buntings and Rangoli etc.
RR Kundal, retired Chief Secretary was the chief guest on the occasion, while former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil presided over the function. IGP Jammu Dilbag Singh and Congress Seva Dal chief were the guests of honour.
The School Magazine ‘Bagisha’ was released by the chief guest and other dignitaries on the occasion.
The programme began with Saraswati Vandana which was followed by a skit presented by the students of senior secondary wing and prepared by Nitika. Dogri dance and Rajasthani dance was presented by primary and middle wings respectively under the supervision of Yogesh and Anu of Music Department, while Salsa dance was presented by blooming buds of pre-primary wing prepared by Shivalika.
Earlier, the chief guest and other dignitaries lighted the traditional lamp to inaugurate the programme.
The stage was handled by Jasmeet Kour, Tanya Kapahi, Mehak Bassi and Shamli, under the supervision of Tavinder Kour and Meenakshi Sharma.
